Release milestones.

We build eZacto for the engagements we actually run. When one of them will not fit the software, that is the next thing we fix.

eZacto launches

eZacto goes public: the time tracking and invoicing app our studio runs on, open source and free to run yourself, with a public demo and signups for a hosted version.

  • Open source under the AGPL v3, to run on Cloudflare Workers or one container
  • A public demo at ezacto.io with invented data, rebuilt every night
  • Signups for a hosted eZacto at ezacto.com
  • Dated release notes, with a write-up of banded engagements on launch day

iOSv1.0.0Milestone

The first iOS build reached testers through TestFlight.

  • Free timer: start and stop, log a duration, week grid
  • Pro business dashboard behind an in-app subscription

Off Harvest: eZacto runs our books

The team's full Harvest history was migrated, verified to the cent, and eZacto became the system of record for time and invoicing. That day we quit Harvest.

  • Every client, project, time entry, invoice and payment carried over
  • Three-way reconciliation with nothing left unexplained
  • New invoices are issued from eZacto, continuing the existing numbering

  • Harvest snapshot tooling with checksums and crash resume
